TfL cleaners and security guards to get free transport in London
Cleansers, security guards and other contract workers who work with London’s transport system shall have the ability to travel for free regarding the network.

Presently, only staff employed directly by Transport for London (TfL) get free travel.
From, the benefit will be extended to about 5,000 contract workers april.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he hoped the scheme shall help low paid workers hit hard by the fee of residing crisis.
Mr Khan said these workers were the premium that is lowest of TfL’s manufacturers’ employees – paid London residing Wage – and this change will ensure they are able to access this benefit at a crucial time when the cost of living is spiralling
BBC London’s politics correspondent Tim Donovan said the cost that is estimated of scheme was £10m per year in forgone income – with respect to the quantity of workers whom use this benefit – which will be included in a grant from City Hall.
Mr Khan said he took action as he was “deeply worried about the known reality the spiralling cost of living is hitting those on reduced incomes the hardest”.
“I will stay to do everything I can to help Londoners with spiralling costs, including providing targeted support directly to those on lower incomes, and to avoid monetary inequalities widening further he added so we can continue steadily to build a better, fairer and more successful city for all Londoners.
